New addition to the Basinfire lineup includes five headliners who have it all, dark atmosphere, modern approach or the fun factor. A wide range of genres are represented by age-old bands with roots in the 80s, hardcore veterans as well as unique Scandinavians.
Although we are not going to talk about the weather now, dark clouds will overcast Basinfire. In addition to the horror show of Wednesday 13, the line-up will include 2 bands that have been walking through the darkness for many years. With 13 albums (and lots of other releases) to their credit and more than 30 years of history, the immortal vessel of ROTTING CHRIST will be brought by the Tolis brothers. Darkened melodies stemming from southern swaths of shadows will be also presented by their Portuguese comrades MOONSPELL. During their existence, dating back to the 1980s, they also explored several directions including black metal, to eventually stick with dark metal drawing atmosphere from the Gothic-occult aesthetic.
Next start in our constellation, though one of the first deathcore bands, has also its own experience with the dark side. The death of their singer Mitch Lucker almost drained the life from the band, however SUICIDE SILENCE came back stronger than ever, as is self-evident with their uncompromising novelty "Become the Hunter".
Hardcore, hip hop, rap, ska, funk and saxophone. All that coagulated in a musical street mix reflecting the abrupt changes in one era… DOG EAT DOG were one of the major bands of the 1990s and they will lighten your day. Their monument "All Boro Kings" became a characteristic record of its time and we believe there is no need to introduce megahits like "No Fronts" or "Who’s the King"!
And we will stick to the freedom, music, party” mode with the next act as well. Although not really a rock band, their performance at Brutal Assault in 2018 was discussed for months. They are one of the most entertaining and indeed the most original bands which can be attested by anyone who saw their sold out show in Prague last year. Bluegrass (not country!) STEVE´N´SEAGULLS versions of famous hits (from Iron Maiden, through Rammstein and AC/DC to Metallica and beyond) supplemented by breathtaking music performances will captivate the masses! Rock out with mandolin, banjo or accordion!
We also welcome to the lineup German heavy/power metal symphonics STEEL ENGRAVED, the resilient admirers of Lemmy MALIGNANT TUMOR, an ambitious heavy metal opera project BOHEMIAN METAL RHAPSODY, Czech punk rock legends with 30 years of history N.V.Ú. and young guns FROZEN POPPYHEAD from the domestic scene.
After our communication misunderstanding with Airbourne, we really wanted to roll out some heavy duty update and we hope that new bands will really excite you and that you have your holiday dates scheduled for June!
Ticket sales are in full swing, so just remember that the second wave of early-bird tickets ends in March!
